Barcelona, 14 March 2018.- the US Patent Office has granted the patent requested by the technological company Lleida.net for its registered delivery method. The term of patent is currently in force for 20 years and marks a turning point in Lleida.net's growth strategy in the US market which is assumed to be the world's largest market in property rights and technology service. It is Lleida.net third patent granted in the US since its Method of Registered email patent and registered electronic contract was granted in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
In particular, the granting of the new patent under the name "Method for the Registration and Certification of Receipt of Electronic Mail" will enable the company to position themselves to meet the needs of its customers as well as boosting development across the region, a benchmark in the technology sector.
According to Sisco Sapena, CEO of Lleida.net, "this new granting allows us to continue advancing in a strategic market for our growth and to complement our services in a really demanding market environment. We are on a strong footing to improve our competitive position”.
With this method, Lleida.net generates a certificate as documentary evidence when a message is received in an email, reinforcing the recipient’s presumption of veracity of the documents received, whether from citizens in the case of public administrations, or from consumers in the case of private companies. Among the sectors where this method is most demanded, are the insurtech (insurance services with new technologies) or regtech (services oriented towards regulatory compliance through new technologies).
